A high-speed railway link the 3 airports will be constructed beginning in October.
According to a senior official, work on the high-speed train that would link Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, and U-Tapao airports will start in October.
Kanit Sangsubhan, the secretary general of the Eastern Economic Corridor Authority, revealed that the building's plan was presented during the EEC committee meeting on Monday. The meeting was led by Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha.
Kanit stated that the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has finished expropriating land for the project and that the areas have been given to the contractor, a CP-led partnership known as AERA1, who is in charge of the project.
He continued by saying that the contractor had gone into the construction sites to begin setting up, such as erecting factories to produce pre-fabricated railway pieces and roadways. The real building work is anticipated to begin in October.
By 2026, according to Kanit, the railway is expected to be operational.
